Derived from the Zulu word "umuthi" meaning "tree", "muti" has been used by traditional healers throughout Africa for centuries to heal the ailments of their people. Taking inspiration from these natural remedies, the two main fynbos botanicals used are Gh´-kum and Kusmalva.
Gh´-kum (Carpobrotus edulis) is a succulent native to South Africa, also known as a highway ice plant or sour fig (suurvygie) and makes up the Western Cape botanical component.
Kusmalva (Pelargonium capitatum x radens), a source of essential oils is found along the Southern and Eastern Cape of South Africa, usually along beach sand and other sandy soils.

Aroma: Notes of Juniper, lemon zest & coriander expand into a sweet and salty olive finish.
Taste: Herbal flavour with a sweet taste initially that adds depth to the smooth rush of citrus and other fruity flavours.
Aftertaste: Long persisting notes of salty Gh´-kum and warming ginger
